The connection between obesity& breast cancer risk in women has long been suspected. Cancer researchers believe that fat tissue becomes a major source of estrogen, & this estrogen causes certain types of tumors. Because obese women have more fat tissue, they make more estrogen.

Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. teens is on the fast track to diabetes, if they don’t already have the disease, according to research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that was published Monday in Pediatrics.
